We all have a beginning. Be it of a spiritual, physical, or metaphorical nature, we all start somewhere. Some say we begin with a single beat of the heart–a noise made in rhythm. Some may think it starts with our first breath; the moment when we wail wildly out into the universe for the first time as if to announce ourselves to the heavens. Others may feel we begin when love is found–when our bodies ache, our sight blinds, and our hearts flutter with excitement.
I have yet to determine my beginning. All I know is that I am here, on this tiny little earth, thinking of belonging, acceptance, who I am, and when I will end. I am constantly searching for answers and with that search comes new questions. What an amazing journey this life is.
